Delong Named a Hunan Digital Transformation Benchmark Enterprise
After being named a Zhuzhou exemplar of SME digital platform construction in July, Zhuzhou Delong has now been selected as a Hunan Province Digital Transformation Benchmark Enterprise; its three in-house systems for production, operations and quality were recognized as a digitalization model for small and medium-sized enterprises.
In 2025, Zhuzhou Delong Metal Material Processing Co., Ltd. was named a Hunan Province Digital Transformation Benchmark Enterprise. In July, the company had already been selected as a Zhuzhou "Exemplar of SME Digital Platform Construction", so the same digital foundation has now been recognized at both municipal and provincial level. The selection looks not at which single piece of software was deployed, but at whether data can flow across the three lines of production, operations and quality.
Around these three lines the company built three systems in-house and obtained software copyrights for them: EMS for production management, ERP for operations management and QMS for quality management, with 4 software copyrights in total. Once an order comes in, scheduling, material feeding, process flow and final-inspection records all go into the same data foundation, so any insert can be traced by batch back to the powder and sintering stages.
The hardware side also leaves interfaces for data collection. The pressing stage uses CNC presses with automatic loading and unloading, and machining parameters from the grinding stage are sent back directly from the machine instead of being copied by hand. Of the 50 sets of main equipment across the plant, the key process equipment has been networked.
The company currently has an annual capacity of 20 million cemented carbide CNC inserts and more than 60 employees. Digitalization shows its value most directly at this scale — without adding people, batches and models can keep increasing.
