From High-Tech Recognition to the Specialized-SME Review
The company has recently passed the review for Hunan Province Specialized, Refined, Distinctive and Innovative SMEs. Looking back along this line of credentials, from first receiving National High-Tech Enterprise status in 2022 to today, each one corresponds to a real change on the production floor.

Zhuzhou Delong Metal Material Processing Co., Ltd. has recently passed the review for Hunan Province Specialized, Refined, Distinctive and Innovative SMEs. A credential is only a piece of paper, but a review requires the company to show something newer than in the previous round — which makes it a good moment to look back over the past few years.
The starting point was 2022. That year the company moved into its new plant in the Zhongnan Hi-Tech Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Park, with about RMB 50 million invested in 50 sets of equipment, bringing every process that used to be outsourced back in-house; in the same year it received National High-Tech Enterprise status for the first time. Management only becomes worth discussing once a production line has taken shape.
In March 2023 the company obtained ISO 9001 quality, ISO 14001 environmental and ISO 45001 occupational health and safety management-system certification, turning what was already being done into auditable documents; in the same year it was recognized as a Hunan Province Specialized, Refined, Distinctive and Innovative SME. This step matters especially for export business — Delong products are sold in more than 20 countries and regions, and overseas customers ask for system certificates at the quotation stage.
2025 centered on digitalization and technical credentials. In July the company was named a Zhuzhou "Exemplar of SME Digital Platform Construction", and it was then recognized as a Hunan Province Digital Transformation Benchmark Enterprise; its three in-house systems — EMS for production, ERP for operations and QMS for quality — have together earned 4 software copyrights. In December, the National High-Tech Enterprise status passed its review at the end of the three-year term, and a new certificate, GR202543000400, was issued, valid until 2028.
With the Specialized-SME review passed this year, the line of credentials since the plant was founded in 2018 has largely joined up: production lines, management, data and technology, added one after another. The company now has more than 60 employees, including more than 15 technical staff and more than 20 intermediate and senior technicians, holds 14 valid patents in total, produces 20 million cemented carbide CNC inserts a year, and holds insert tolerance to ±0.05 mm — tighter than the ±0.08 mm required by the GB/T 2081 national standard.
